Terms of Use (Beta)

These Closed Beta Terms of Use (“Beta Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Nolum closed beta program (the “Beta”) made available by Aisac Labs (DBA Aisac Labs in Andover, Massachusetts) (“Aisac Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Nolum during the Beta, you agree to these Beta Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Beta.

1) Early Access Beta

Nolum is provided as an early access beta product. The Beta may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. Features may change, be removed, or behave differently over time. The Beta may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or discontinued at any time. We do not guarantee that any data, preferences, content, or settings will be preserved.

2) Closed Beta; Confidentiality

The Beta is a limited, non-public program. During the Beta, you may receive access to features, content, and information that are not publicly available (“Confidential Beta Information”).

You agree to keep Confidential Beta Information private and to use it only to evaluate and provide feedback on Nolum.

3) No Public Sharing (Including App Store Reviews)

Unless Aisac Labs gives you prior written permission, you agree not to publicly post, publish, or distribute any Confidential Beta Information, including:

  • screenshots, screen recordings, photos, or videos of the app;

  • detailed feature descriptions, walk-throughs, or performance claims;

  • non-public information about Nolum’s design, functionality, roadmap, or availability;

in any public forum, including social media, blogs, podcasts, press, online communities, and App Store reviews.

No App Store reviews during the Beta. If you have feedback or issues, please send them directly to Aisac Labs (see Section 7).

4) Private Sharing Allowed (Limited)

You may talk about Nolum privately (for example, with friends or family) and invite them to join the waitlist, as long as you do not share Confidential Beta Information beyond what Aisac Labs has publicly shared.

5) Access, Invitations, and Revocation

Beta access is limited and provided at Aisac Labs’ discretion. We may limit invites and may pause, suspend, or revoke your access at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose usage limits or disable features during the Beta.

6) Feedback

We may contact you to request feedback, and you may submit feedback voluntarily, including bug reports, feature requests, and suggestions (“Feedback”).

You agree that:

  • Feedback is provided voluntarily and without expectation of compensation; and

  • Aisac Labs may use, evaluate, modify, commercialize, and incorporate Feedback into Nolum or other products and services without restriction or obligation to you.

8) Safety / Common Sense Use

Use Nolum responsibly and safely. For example:

  • Do not use Nolum while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that requires your full attention.

  • Use appropriate caution when cooking (heat, knives, raw foods, food handling, allergens, and sanitation).

  • Do not misuse the Beta, attempt to disrupt it, probe it, or access it in an unauthorized way.

9) AI-Assisted Features

Nolum uses AI to generate responses such as ingredient substitutions, cooking guidance, and recommendations (“AI Output”). You understand that AI Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for independently evaluating AI Output before relying on it.

10) Not Professional Advice

Nolum does not provide medical, allergy, dietary, nutritional, or food safety advice. Always check ingredient labels and use your judgment, especially if you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions. For food safety and cooking temperatures, rely on credible sources and your own judgment.

11) Use at Your Own Risk; Assumption of Responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Nolum’s suggestions and for any decisions you make while cooking, shopping, or preparing food.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aisac Labs is not liable for any harm, injury, illness, losses, or damages resulting from or related to:

  • reliance on AI Output or other content provided through Nolum;

  • cooking outcomes, food preparation decisions, or food handling practices;

  • allergic reactions, dietary impacts, or food safety issues; or

  • Beta bugs, interruptions, downtime, or data loss.

12) No Warranties

The Beta is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aisac Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Beta will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI Output will be accurate or reliable.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Aisac Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to the Beta; and

  • Aisac Labs’ total liability for any claims relating to the Beta will not exceed the amount you paid to access the Beta, and if you paid nothing, $0.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14) Termination

You may stop using the Beta at any time. Aisac Labs may terminate or suspend your access to the Beta at any time, with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including confidentiality, feedback rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

15) Severability

If any provision of these Beta Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16) Privacy

Your use of Nolum is also subject to our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these Beta Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding data practices, the Privacy Policy controls.

17) Changes to These Beta Terms

We may update these Beta Terms from time to time. We may provide notice by posting updated terms on our website or within Nolum. Your continued use of the Beta after the effective date of updated Beta Terms means you accept the updated Beta Terms.

18) Governing Law

These Beta Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
